Come pick up a paint brush and get connected. You can loose an afternoon or a day with a canvas, paint brush and paint. If it’s cold the heater is a cracklin’ with a warm fire, or as things heat up in the summer there’s an air conditioner to keep up cool!! We can loose our cares and worries at least for a day.

What to paint?? All the latest books and magazines with fresh ideas are just waiting for you to turn the pages. If you have a special photo you would like to work from, we can certainly do that!!

We had 6 ladies to enter paintings into the fair. We had one best of show. Six blue ribbons, four red (second place), 2 white (third place). So congrats!! to all the ladies who placed. I think we made a good showing!!

Remember the scramble last Christmas when we didn’t have everybody a present that we wanted under the tree?? If you make your list now, we can have the tree full by Christmas!!!! lol

Summer really is a busy time, but we need to remember to take some time for ourselves. It makes us a better person, and helps us to rewind ourselves. Classes this summer are not going on vacation!! We will just keep painting.

Of course we may have a canning time after class. lol Those tomatoes come in bunches ya’ know!! keep a check on the photos, we will be posting new ones as we finish paintings.

Now it’s time to get to work on those other mules… I have several pics from the mule pull to work with. So it should be fun. The studio is up and running… classes are being held and havin fun. We are working on some grisaille pieces and a zebra right now.

We have a new venture… we are opening up a salvage grocery store here at the house. We are beginning to look like a little shopping mall, with the studio, then the grocery store, Richard’s tractor shop… (I keep telling him the store is not big enough, he will have to vacate the tractor shop. He’s not budging…lol). So it is becoming more and more of a little home and garden setting. We can plant you a tree, paint a pretty picture, show you how to paint one, and cook your supper too. Watch for more pics being posted on the site. Until then….

The store is closed… and kinda moved. The studio is finally straightened up, and where I can find things at least some of the time. But it”s getting better. All good things take time. RIght??

The mules were repainted and off to SDP on time…. whew. They are to come out in the new Jan issue, this one will be the first with the bigger size magazine. So it’s official they will be in there. I’m just still not sure how I ended up in there, except to say when the Lord blesses you, he does it in a really big way. The newspaper (Weekly Post) has stated that when the magazine comes out, they will do a story on me… oh my.

Classes are up and going, more to be added as needed. (after that newspaper story… well who knows). They are still taught in a fun and relaxed setting. I now have my pot belly stove in place, so things will be warm and toasty for the winter months. No freezing fingers.

Richard & I got married on January 28th of 2006! In May we sold the nursery, and decided to move to north Alabama. The Lord has been with us the whole way, because it sure has been a whirlwind! LOL we bought the house in Ider, Alabama in May. Since moving up here, we have remodeled the house, landscaped the outside, erected a windmill, built a greenhouse (yes Richard had to have a greenhouse). Most of the neighbors think we are crazy, of course we have lots of references in Florida about that! lol

Since we have settled in we have found lots of fun things to do up here, like flea markets, auctions, yard sales, and of course dumpsters (much to Richard’s dismay) . So in self-defense we are opening up a store. Because while I now have a large house, we are finding more treasures than I have room for! lol So if we have a store, I can share treasures, right??
